Institutions of marriage and family are two great creative ideas of humanity, which place human species at the highest pedestal. The live-in concept is replacing/competing hard with institution of marriage in developed world, as it safeguards the finances of richer spouse. Men and women want to enjoy the loving experience of parenthood, but aren't keen to marry, which more often than not results in divorce due to ego clashes over intolerant attitudes. Potential spouses are experimenting with new ideas: single parenthood, enabled by a donor who donates sperm or eggs, and a surrogate mother; or a conventional economic option of adopting a child from a poor country. The approach is negative, in that it justifies intolerance. We need to inculcate Godly traits: tolerance, a flexible attitude, respecting others' views, and a spirit of sacrifice for family members. Single parenthood is spreading its tentacles in Oriental societies as well. Thus the institution of marriage is inching towards extinction. May God bless humanity.
