We are often lonely, even after getting married. This is the paradox of love. There is selfless and unconditional love in the beginning. Within a short period, it changes to possessive love. There are ego clashes, leading to lack of mutual respect and love. In some cases love turns to hatred. Love is 'to let the spouse be happy in own way'. In true love, the selfless, and honest spouses, look after the family as an integrated team. We need God's blessings to enjoy the bliss of mutual love and respect, in old age.
