We all like to think we have control over ourselves: our attitudes, emotions and behaviors, But then, it often happens that we don't. We behave in relationships in self-sabotaging ways, often not knowing that we do; not realizing the fears and needs which drive us to shoot ourselves in the foot. Developing self-awareness helps us understand what drives us to sabotage ourselves and our relationships, and enables us to make the necessary changes in order to find and develop a successful intimacy.
